Urban Decay Naked Palette

So I'm pretty sure all you makeup enthusiast has already heard about Urban Decay's new Palette called "Naked". I just recently heard about and i was absolutely excited about it! Although I'm not a HUGE fan of shimmer shadows, i think Urban Decay does the best at creating shimmer shadows. I don't own much of their shadows, most of mine are mac but I used to use it back in my early teens and i currently have the Ammo palette that I don't reach for often but when i do, I am very impressed. Their shadows are super creamy in texture and color payoff is ameyziing! ;)

This palette is a neutral palette. Most of the colors are already available in the permanent collection, some already in other palettes and some in individual pots. I would say if your a collector then this would be a good buy, but if you already have most or some of these colors, I'd probably say you could pass, but it is definitely a great neutral palette for on the go, especially if your into shimmers. Personally I would need to bring some mattes with me to tone it down but i THINK there is ONE matte shade in here. Will go further into details when i get a chance to pick this up.

This will be available June 29th online and August 1st in stores in the states. It has been confirmed by Temptalia that this WILL be a permanent palette in their collection so it won't be a frenzy like how MAC was about Ripe peach and Marine life... oh what a frenzy that was.  So no worries if it goes out of stock right away, they will restock so no one has to cut a b**** around here.. LOL.. JUST KIDDING. but you get what I'm saying right? Right.

Will be retailing here in the states for $44 USD. Once I pick mine up I will post swatches and do a brief review on it and probably some tutorials using it. For now here is a sample picture courtesy of Temptalia's blog.

Foxy Locks Extensions Review

Hi everyone! So I wanted to do a review on Foxy Locks Extensions. Let me go ahead and get out of the way that I purchased the extensions myself with my own personal hard earned money, I am not affiliated with foxy locks extensions in any way. :D

Foxy Locks Extensions <--- Click here to get to her website!

PRICE: £54.00 (GBP) - About $80 USD (for 120 grams) // £72.00 (GBP) - about $106 USD.
SHIPPING: £8.50 (GBP) - About $12.50 USD. (took about 2 weeks)
20 inches long (only 1 size available)

So I've had the extension for about 5-6 months now, I got the 120 grams in the "natural black 1B" shade, I originally wanted the 160grams but she was unfortunately sold out :( so i just settled for this. So I was on YouTube one day and JlovesMac1 was raving about "Foxy Locks Extensions"... her review sold me so i desperately HAD to get them. I was originally using clip on extensions from Sally's Beauty and I didn't like them. They were very thin and because the amount of hair in it was so thin, it looked very unnatural and obvious. When i placed my order and finally got them in the mail i was pleasantly surprised. The hairs were super soft, VERY long (it came in 20") and a perfect match. They're really easy to apply and take off, the clips that came on it were very sturdy and the extensions were very well made. Definitely high quality hair.

(My real hair length is about where my collar is)

I really do wish i waited and got the 160 grams that i originally wanted because it does contain more hair which is more thickness and more natural looking but the 120 grams worked just fine. 20 inches was a little too long for my liking so i cut off about 2". So if you have thicker hair i'd suggest getting the 160grams, if you have thinner you'll be fine with 120 grams. These are 100% human hair, remy italian ( i think, i really should research a little to make sure huh? lol). Because it IS natural hair, it can be washed, curled, straightened, whatever you would do on your own hair. I've done everything to it already, curled, straightened, cut, washed, blow dried and still super soft and very natural looking. Imogen (who is the owner) is located in the UK, she is the owner of the company and awesome with communication. It took about 2 weeks for me to get  the extensions, It may be been due to customs and all that because I AM located in the states, but definitely worth the wait! She has a lot of different color shades to choose from a black black color to platinum blond.

Overall I absolutely LOVE the extensions, will definitely continue to use them as i consider them my "security blanket" until my REAL hair grows out.

My only suggestion or recommendation to whoever plans on getting these is that from my own experience, the extensions do require better shampoo. I am currently using Biolage shampoo and condition which can be purchased from salons and i believe Ulta sells them too. I've tried washing it with just a regular drugstore shampoo just as Tresemme' and it sort of dried out the hair so to guarantee longevity on the hair, i'd recommend higher quality shampoo.

If I left anything out or if have you have any questions, please ask in the comment section! Hope this was helpful to everyone considering getting these, I DO make my reviews very thorough so that it can help you have an easier decision so sorry if this was a bit long :D.

NARS Sheer Glow review

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation, Gobi 1 fl oz (30 ml)(Product can be purchase from either Sephora, Narscosmetics, Amazon or Nordstrom from what i know)

So I've wanted to do a review on this foundation for awhile now... just a little bit of my perspective and opinion about this product. For reference I have EXTREMELY oily skin. I first got a sample of this foundation in Stromboli (NC37), absolutely loved it and was really surprised it worked pretty well for my oily skin. Same with everyone else, when i heard "glow" I immediately thought it'd be only for combo/dry skin. I read a ton of reviews and watched some YouTube reviews about it also and found it was working well for people with oily skin so figure I'd give it a shot.

I've been using this foundation for a little over 2 months now so I figure that's enough time to go ahead and do a review.

First off, this foundation is a light to medium coverage but buildable, application is pretty smooth, the consistency is not thick, its pretty runny but not watery at all. It doesn't have a pump on it, Sephora isn't selling the pumps yet but it IS sold on Narscosmetics.com now. I've tried this with about 5 different primers and i really didn't see a difference between that and NOT using a primer as far as staying power and staying matte goes, but using a primer will help the application go on smoother although I didn't find that necessary with this (at least for me anyway). Even though it says its a sheer GLOW, its actually more of a satiny matte finish.

For the first month of using this, I absolutely loved it! The packaging is very sleek and sophisticated looking, it comes in a glass bottle and has a twist off top. It kept me matte all day, I didn't have to blot as much as I normally did and when I did feel like i was starting to get oily mid day, it actually gave me more of a dewy look than oily. It never broke me out and i think it actually sort of made my skin better. I did always set it with either MAC's studio fix powder or MSFN, but I didn't really think it needed it. But unfortunately, it stopped working at keeping me matte after a month and a half of usage. I don't know if its because my skin got used to it and needed something better or I was producing more oily on my face, either way, this foundation stopped working as well as it first did at controlling oil. When i realized it started making me look shiny (mainly in my t zones) I went back to trying it with different face primers, that didn't help too much so i had to switch foundations and STILL on the quest to find my HG.

Overall, I think this foundation is totally worth the price ($42). I would probably say this foundation would be best for mildly oily/combo/dry skin. I still use it every now and then because i really love the coverage and love the fact that it never broken me out. (but then again im not really prone to breakouts).

If you've read through and survived this review, I give a pat on the back :P.. sorry for it being so long, didn't want to leave anything out for you guys! ALSO!!! Sephora also give samples so don't hesitate to ask for one! If you do need help trying to find a foundation match just to give you an idea of what your looking for before asking one of the SA's to help you match, temptalia has a foundation matrix which cross references foundation tones from MAC to other colors.. It's GENIUS I tell ya! :D

If you have any questions please feel free to ask! Have a wonderful day!!
